Meta Description Setup & Management Services
Optimize your Meta Descriptions for Organic Search and Sales
There are several plugins available within all platforms that allow you to change meta descriptions with a few keystrokes. Using generic terminology and the names of your posts, categories, or items, you can fill in all meta descriptions without having to go through them one by one. Most of these plugins are free and easy to use. Do your research on the content you already have on the site to make sure that you fill in bulk meta description templates that don’t lead to an odd description that doesn’t read correctly.
Use Search Optimized Keywords in Meta Descriptions
The chances are that your site has a very niche focus that you can target with keywords that are useful across the site. Make sure to incorporate these into your meta descriptions when possible. Several of these generic keywords are used in conjunction with the more specific keywords that your page targets, which can lead to temptation for users to click when your meta description is displayed.
Use a Call to Action in Your Meta Descriptions
Using verbs like “read,” “shop,” “learn,” and several others within your meta descriptions is certainly another way to tempt users to click your link when they are displayed on search engine result pages. It’s important to note that you shouldn’t use the word “find.” Users are already on the search engine to find something, so if you encourage them to search further than they have to, you’ll have a lot of problems getting them to click.
