The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard communication protocol used for the transfer of computer files from a server to a client on a computer network. FTP is used for two essential functions, “Put” and “Get.” It allows uploading (Put) files to the server from the client device and downloading (Get) files from the server on the client device.
